Sign up for one of our best and fastest growing programs. For boys and girls, Pre-K through 4th grade. Session II runs January through late February.
Practices and home games will be held at GDW Elementary School. 3rd and 4th grade girls will have one or two away games at Genoa Park District. GDW Elementary School is equipped with multiple courts and baskets that accommodate each age group. Smaller basketballs and simple rules will be used for the Bitty and Small Shots age groups. We will begin to introduce more rules, larger basketballs, and taller rim height at the 3rd and 4th grade level.
Bitty will be played as co-ed. Small Shots will be split into a boys league and an all girls league. We reserve the right to combine the two if we don't have a sufficient amount of boys or girls to run separate programs. 3rd & 4th grade is split into a boys league and a girls league. While emphasizing safety, team work, and FUNdamentals, children will learn the game of basketball. Practices are 1 hour long on either M, T, W, Th or F. Practices remain constant once the initial practice days and times are set based on volunteer coaches availability. Practices will not begin before 5pm. Most games will be on Saturday mornings. However, one or two games might be played during the week. All participants will receive a participation medal at the conclusion of the season. This is a great program for new and experienced players.
Coaches please volunteer! Head, Assistant, and Bench coaches needed. Interested in coaching? Please contact Michael Prill at 847-683-2690.
